Award-Winning Artist Graham Hodgson Uses His Skill to Help People with Difficulties

Sunderland-based artist Graham Hodgson aims to use his skill for helping students with special needs and people with difficulties

Graham Hodgson is a Sunderland-based artist whose gallery is called Pigment and Toil. Located in Bridges, Graham took over the gallery after the previous owner retired, so that Sunderland artists could still use it.

Though he has been born in South Shields, Graham has a strong connection with Sunderland, because he sold many paintings based on the city.

Graham believes that when you have a talent, it’s good to share and give back, and that’s what he aims to do: “My aim was to live a life in which to have a skill and use that skill to help special needs students or someone with a difficulty.” This is also why he won awards.
